Jacksonville Jaguars vs Miami Dolphins Point Spread Picks

The backup QBs are Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers, who have been sacked 7 times in two games. Miami plays hard for this coaching staff, on a 10-4 spread run. They covered Sunday in a 31-28 loss to the Bills. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is a capable veteran, and the team doesn't quit, rallying from 17-7 down to take a 20-17 fourth-quarter lead. The Dolphins are 10-4 ATS as an underdog, plus 7-2 ATS following a straight-up loss. They face a Jacksonville group that is #20 in total yards on offense, #21 in passing, while the defense is #22 in yards allowed, including third-worst against the pass (294 yards per game). The short week poses problems as starting center Brandon Linder (knee) might not play, along with CB D.J. Hayden (concussion). Hayden's replacement would be rookies Chris Claybrooks or Josiah Scott. Jacksonville finally got some points on the board after being shut out by the Ravens the week before and Gardner Minshew had a solid game completing 19-of-29 for 202 yards with no interceptions. Alex McGough finished up and was 2-of-9 for 10 yards for the Jaguars. Josh Rosen started for Miami and went 10-for-18 for 102 yards in the first half in the Dolphins' 16-14 loss to Tampa Bay. Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 3-of-9 for 20 yards and then was replaced by Jake Rudock. Fitzgerald is due to start this game as he battles Rosen for the starting spot. Jacksonville's first two games have easily gone UNDER and Miami went UNDER by 14 points versus the Bucs. Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone is 12-7 UNDER in his preseason career and he would like to get a win on the board after losing the first two weeks to build some confidence for his team and give the fans some reason to buy some tickets heading into the regular season.
