Cleveland Browns vs Seattle Seahawks Point Spread Picks

Cleveland has shown nothing on offense in the first two games scoring 10 and 12 points - and both were at home. Now they make a long road trip to Seattle. QB Deshaun Watson (knee) won't play and backups Jameis Winston, Tyler Huntley, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson have combined for no touchdowns and 3 interceptions. New Seattle coach Mike MacDonald was the defensive coordinator for the Ravens the last two years. The defense has played well in a win at the Chargers (16-3) and a loss at Tennessee (16-15). Cleveland is off their worst defensive game of the season as they allowed Indianapolis to put up 38 points and somehow they ended up winning. Miles Garrett was such a disruptor he gave Cleveland a chance at the end to win by a point 39-38. The Browns were out-gained by 150 yards, and the film on this game is going to get a long look by Seattle. The Seattle offense has been pretty good, and the defense is improving. The Seahawks were out-gained in each of their first two games but got things cleaned up on both sides of the ball and have out-gained their last four opponents, which means they are winning at the line of scrimmage. Cleveland is off a very tiring emotional game, and may not have a full tank for this one. Seattle is a tough place to play and Seattle has a strong history here. Make the play on Seattle.

The early returns are that Cleveland didn't make a good hire with Freddie Kitchens. Vegas had them the favorite to win their division but they have bumbled their way to a losing record, and are winless at home. The Browns gave up 43 points to Tennessee and come off a 31-3 beatdown at San Francisco while looking clueless. Cleveland is on a 6-19-1 spread run against winning teams and is 8-18 ATS after allowing 350+ total yards in their previous game. Into town comes a well-coached Seattle squad that is playing great with only one loss. Seattle's offense is seventh in the league in total yards (388 per game) with excellent balance and a talented, veteran quarterback. While the Seattle defense continues to get the ink, suddenly QB Russell Wilson is on fire. The Seattle offense has come to life, scoring 35 points or more in each of the last three games, and 29 or more in five of their last six. That has led a team known for defense to play to a 5-1 mark to the OVER in their last six, despite the fact that three of those opponents averaged 8.7 points per game! Cleveland was good last week defensively vs. the inept offense of San Francisco at home, but had previously allowed over 30 points to five straight opponents, and are not suited to stop the suddenly hot Wilson. The Browns bring a 5-1 mark to the OVER into this game if they threw for more than 250 yards in their previous game. Seattle is 4-0 to the OVER in their last four at home, and are currently 8-3 to the OVER when following a win. Take the OVER.
