The game stayed UNDER thanks to Buffalo's inept offensive display while Caleb Williams threw for 107 yards and a TD. Tyson Bagent went 13-for-22 for 196 yards and a TD, and third-stringer Austin Reed also made a contribution with 6 of 7 passing for 66 yards. Andy Reid, as usual, hasn't put too much stock in preseason games as Kansas City is 0-2, dropping Reid's preseason record to 46-52 straight up and 43-51-4 ATS. The Chiefs have lost their past five preseason contests, including all three in 2024. Seattle racked up 268 rushing yards while routing the Chiefs 33-16 last week. Kansas City backup QB Gardner Minshew threw for 70 yards and a touchdown on seven of nine passing. The Chiefs only totaled 156 yards of offense, including just 68 on the ground. Chicago apparently is making a statement as it has breezed through the first three games winning all three by a combined score of 81-26, including last week's 27-3 rout of Cincinnati. Caleb Williams made a good impression, running for a touchdown and leading two scoring drives and completeing 6 of 13 for 75 yards. Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien were a combined 10 of 12 for 142 yards, with Bagent throwing two TD passes. Chicago coach Matt Eberflus is 7-2 straight up and 8-1 ATS in preseason. Kansas City has lost its first two games (0-2 ATS) and Andy Reid is 46-49 straight up and 43-48-4 ATS in his long preseason career. The Chiefs are 2-4 ATS their past six Game 3 games and incredibly are 2-22 ATS their past 24 preseason games coming off a straight up/ATS loss against a team off a win. The Chicago Bears have had a tumultuous week and getting big points against the Super Bowl champions, but the Chiefs have averaged just 18.5 points their first two games as they lost to Detroit before edging Jacksonville 17-9. Patrick Mahomes threw for 305 yards and two TDs and Travis Kelce returned to the lineup and had a TD catch. Chicago QB Justin Fields spoke out against the way he has been coached and an assistant coach resigned for serious personal reasons. All this could be what the players need to come together as a team and put on a good performance this week. Kansas City is 4-7 ATS its past 11 home games and road teams in September that played on the road their previous game are 26-5 ATS since 2019. Who says Andy Reid doesn't care about preseason games? Kansas City won all three last August. That includes two road games, winning 19-16 at San Francisco in Week 1 and a 17-10 win at Arizona in Week 2. The Chiefs are a veteran team that is off of a trip to the AFC Championship game. Reid has experience with most of his players, where they best fit, and who his third and fourth-stringers are. Even the QB depth is above-average for August: Patrick Mahomes will start, followed by veteran Chad Henne, a former NFL starter from 2009-2013. There's competition for the third QB slot with Shane Buechele and Dustin Crum fighting for jobs. While Kansas City has most of its pieces in place, Chicago is in complete rebuilding mode. They let the majority of their free agents walk on both sides of the line and have a new playbook and head coach in Matt Eberflus. The starters will play the first quarter but they don't have an impressive QB rotation with young Justin Fields and Trevor Siemian. This will be Siemian's fourth different team in four years. In the last three years, he has thrown 23 TDs with 17 picks, and in 33 career games he's been sacked 76 times. Play Kansas City.

The Kansas City Chiefs' offense was scary good last season and still remains quite elite, but Kareem Hunt is not around and Pat Mahomes has thrown 30 fewer TD passes than last year. The Chiefs' offense in recent games saw them gain just 310 yards vs. the Chargers and 259 yards vs. Oakland. They are going to struggle against a very strong Bears' defense. Chicago has played much better of late at 3-1 in their last four and has played seven of their last eight to one-possession games.
