The Atlanta Falcons took the NFL by storm on their way to a 5-0 record in their first five games. The offense seems to suddenly break down after looking terrific and what was 32.4 points per game in the 5-0 start, has become 17 ppg in the 1-2 current aftermath. San Francisco has finally come to the conclusion that Colin Kaepernick is not their guy, and rightfully so. They will turn the offense over to Blaine Gabbert. Kaepernick led the Niners to just nine points combined in his last two starts, with a total offense of 321 yards, or 160.5 yards per game. Things can only get better with Gabbert, as the Niners offense had hit rock bottom. The players around Kaepernick had pretty much quit on him, so I would expect an elevated level of play by the entire Niners offense in this one. The Atlanta offense disguised their average defense which has allowed 20 points or more in a game in six of eight this season, and a seventh saw the opponent get 19. The Niners are going to be a hard take, but could also be an awakening offense, overachieving the poor numbers we have seen to date. Atlanta has failed to cover in four straight games, and the dog is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 played in this series. The total is held down, but expect more out of the Niners with a positive change and players responding to it. Take San Francisco and the OVER.
