Arizona Cardinals vs Washington Commanders Point Spread Picks

The offense is sixth in total yards, fifth in points (26.3 per game), and sixth on third down (45.16%). They come off a 38-33 victory at Cincinnati as a +7.5 dog. Erratic Arizona is favored but has lost two of its first three. They come off a 20-13 loss at home to Detroit. Arizona is 1-6 SU/ATS in its last seven as a favorite, including a 31-21 loss to Seattle at home the last time they were favored. In addition, four of the last five meetings between these teams have gone UNDER, including last year in a 20-16 Washington win. Play Washington + UNDER the total. 

Arizona has a new coach in former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon and it is expected to be a tough challenge with Kyler Murray still out and DeAndre Hopkins is now with Tennessee. The Cardinals acquired Joshua Dobbs and he will compete with rookie Clayton Tune for the starting job while Murray is out. Arizona likely will focus more on the running game as James Connor returns after rushing for 782 yards and seven touchdowns last season and the Cardinals also signed Marlon Mack. Washington hasn't had a winning season since 2015 although it came close with a 8-8-1 campaign last season. The Commanders have a new QB in Sam Howell and highly-regarded Eric Bieniemy is the new offensive coordinator. Still, the Commanders should not be laying a touchdown against any team and Arizona is 12-2-3 ATS its past 17 games as a road underdog of 3.5-10 points and the Commanders are 1-7 ATS their past eight September games and finished last season 1-4 ATS.
