Sacramento Kings vs Toronto Raptors Point Spread Picks

Sacramento has won five of 12, including knocking off Chicago (126-110) as a +4.5 underdog, and winning at the Clippers (118-109) as a +13.5 dog. They packed it in in the last game, getting blown out in Brooklyn, but have been competitive on this road trip, losing by four points at Orlando as a +15.5 dog, and covering at Atlanta as a double-digit underdog. Toronto is 21st in scoring, 22nd in 3-point shooting, and 20th from the charity stripe. They're on a 3-4 slide, including losing to Phoenix (120-98) as a favorite. I'm taking a shot with Sacramento on the moneyline. 

Sacramento showed some life with a recent four-game win streak before losing its next two against Portland and Miami. The Kings will try to get back on track in their seventh home game in a row, and they have covered five of seven home contests. Toronto is 1-8 ATS in its past nine games against teams with below .400 winning percentages and 3-12 ATS playing with no rest. The Raptors beat Golden State 145-127 last night with Immanuel Quickley pouring in 40 points in their highest-scoring output of the season. However, the odds are against the Raptors coming close to shooting 59 percent overall and 62 percent from 3-point distance as they did on Tuesday in a back-to-back situation tonight. Sacramento is 7-0 UNDER after allowing more than 125 points its previous game and 4-0 UNDER its past four Wednesday games. The UNDER is 10-1 when Toronto plays on no rest and 4-0 UNDER after the Raptors score more than 125 points in their previous game. Take the Kings to cover, and the UNDER as a Max Play. 

The Toronto Raptors have been like a street ball team so far this season. Run up and down the court, and launch. They have played seven of their eight games OVER the total. They are chasing a bigger number in this game, as this total exceeds anything the books have hung on them to date this season. The Kings hve not played well defensively on the road, allowing 112 PPG, but at home they have trimmed that figure to 107.5 PPG allowed. I think the Kings will slow this game down as much as possible as this one stays UNDER the total.

The Toronto Raptors have torn down their team and the building of the future has begun. The Raptors are an ugly 23-45 on the season including seven straight losses and a woeful 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games. There last nine losses have shown that six of them have been by double-digits, so being competitive at any price has been something this team has not been able to achieve. Sacramento is finally going to be a playoff team that has a chance to make a run. The Kings have taken on the road like a quality team, the last thing that usually comes together for a rising team, as they own a 20-14 ATS mark on the road. It certainly looks like the Raptors have packed it in, and I don't them putting up much of a challenge here against a quality Kings team. Make the play on Scramento.
