Washington at Boston

There's nothing wrong with Boston's defense, No. 3 in the NBA in points allowed giving up just 90.8 ppg. This veteran team prefers a slow pace. They've been terrific defensively after an embarrassing loss and they come off a 99-86 defeat at rival Philadelphia. The last time they lost a game the Celtics allowed 98 points at Denver, and then the next they were a dog at Atlanta but won allowing 76 total points and just 33 first half points! They also had an embarrassing 103-71 loss at Philly earlier this month and the next game allowed 86 points (30 first half points) in a win over Portland, so this team bouncing back defensively after a tough loss, especially in the first half. Into town comes a dysfunctional Washington offense that the experienced Celtics should have no trouble taking apart, especially in the first half where they will be angry and focused.
