The San Antonio Spurs have won four straight games. But looking closer at their last game Ginobli, Duncan and Parker all played reduced minutes, so it becomes apparent that the core of the Spurs offense is going to be sitting more than playing here. The Lakers are considered an offensive team, but truly that has not been the case this season. Playing on one day of rest, the last 57 times they have been in this spot they are 41-16 to the UNDER, as well as playing 21-6 to the UNDER overall vs. winning teams. I like the UNDER here. Despite the reduced minutes by Spurs starters, this is a team that under Popovich, always competes at a high level. The Lakers are the team that has decided to mail in the last two weeks of the season, dropped their last five games, failing to cover any of them. I trust the Spurs’ bench here more than the Lakers, so I will grab the points and go with San Antonio too.
