Orlando at Brooklyn

Once again, the Magic are an above-average defensive team. Brooklyn has also become a very good defensive team. The Nets have the third-best defensive rating in the NBA since Dec. 1. During this stretch, they rank second in fewest second-chance points allowed per game and first in fewest 3-pointers made against them. Orlando remains without its leading scorer, Franz Wagner. But the 20-17 Magic remain a better team than the 11-22 Nets. Orlando has had Brooklyn's number, too, winning the past seven times against the Nets. Brooklyn ranks 27th in scoring and 28th in field goal percentage. The Magic average nearly four more points per game than the Nets and also holds a strong rebounding edge.
