Oklahoma City at Detroit

Record-wise, Oklahoma City and Detroit are the two best teams in the NBA. But this is not a level playing field for this matchup. Not only is Detroit home and rested, but the Thunder are playing on the second day in a row and missing three key players. Reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains sidelined for the Thunder because of an abdominal strain. Gilgeous-Alexander is second in the league in scoring, averaging 31.8 points. Also out for Oklahoma City due to injuries are Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. Williams is the Thunder's No. 2 leading scorer, and Mitchell ranks fourth in team scoring. The Pistons are 21-7 at home and 14-7 vs. Western Conference foes. Detroit is off a disappointing, 114-103, home loss to the Spurs this past Monday. Superstar Cade Cunningham missed 21 of 26 shots in that loss. The Pistons are very eager to beat an elite Western Conference team. This is their chance for a blowout victory, given the Thunder's injury situation and the fact that they're playing for the fourth time in six days, without rest. Take the Pistons.
