New York at New Orleans

The Knicks are almost there under this new coaching staff, covering the last three games despite losing them all. They lost at Charlotte by one point, then gave the mighty Blazers a run in their previous game before losing 103-99 as a +7 dog. They've lost the last four games by a combined 13 points. In the last game Carmelo Anthony had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and J.R. Smith scored 20, but the Knicks were outscored 8-2 over the final 3:19 after erasing an 11-point deficit earlier in the fourth quarter. Thirteen of their 18 losses have come by less than eight points. New Orleans is no NBA powerhouse, and a losing record. The Pelicans return home after closing a 1-2 trek with Sunday's 104-87 win over the Lakers. New Orleans is 2-5 straight-up in their last seven games. The Knicks have thrived in New Orleans where they've won five in a row by an average of 12.0 points. Anthony went off for 42 during New York's last visit in a 98-91 victory Feb. 19.
