New Orleans has been a good road team all season with a 23-14 straight-up record and 20-14-2 ATS and it has beaten the Pistons six times in a row and covering the number in four of them. The Pelicans have won eight of their past 10 games following an 111-88 victory at Miami on Friday when C.J. McCollum scored 30 points. Their perimeter defense must have been outstanding as the Heat shot just 13 of 47 (27.7 percent) from 3-point range. Detroit has lost five straight and the Pistons have shown no improvement since the early season when they lost 28 consecutive games. They haven't covered their past three games, including 129-102 to Boston even while shooting 51 percent.
