Brooklyn at Portland

The focus of tonight's game will be on Vince Carter. He has been a wonderful addition to the Nets, fitting well with J. Kidd and the rest of their system and helping them be 22-18 going into tonight's game. Unfortunately for Net's fans however, it looks like will be cheering the rest of his team on from the bench.  He injured his back in Wednesday night's game and even if he does play tonight, will be no where near 100%. New Jersey is going into Portland to face a team who is starting to play much better basketball as of late; winning 4 of their last 6 and has been 4-1-1 against the spread in those 6. The Nets have been on a downward spiral however, losing 6 of their last 9 straight up and 7 of their last 8 ATS. Portland will rely on their 3 big-men to bring home the victory in this game; the three R's. Look for Randolph, Ruben and Ratliff to Martin and Melo a tough loss on their way out of Portland. Take the home team to win outright here for two stars.
