Minnesota at Toronto

Toronto has won seven of the past nine meetings with Minnesota, and the Raptors come into the season with a new coach in Darko Rajakovic, and without Fred VanVleet, who signed with Houston. Still, the Raptors expect to have better chemistry after a disappointing 2022-23 in which nothing felt right with the team the entire season. Toronto picked up point guard Dennis Schroder and forward Jalen McDaniels and most importantly still have Pascal Siakam, who set career highs in points and assists last year. The Timberwolves regressed last season and finished 42-40 after they had high expectations at the beginning of the season and they never seem to get over the hump and go deep into the playoffs. They still have the Big Three with Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, but that didn't mean much in the final standings last year. Toronto is 15-5-1 ATS its past 21 home games and is a very slight underdog in this one. Play the Raptors on the moneyline.
