Miami at Cleveland

Cleveland blew out the Heat, 121-100, in the series opener, easily covering the 12.5-point spread. Look for more of the same as Miami is fortunate to be in the playoffs after barely surviving the play-in tournament. Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and Darius Garland 27 for top-seeded Cleveland, which shot 51 percent and went 18-for-43 on 3-point tries. The Heat shot 49 percent overall and 42 percent from beyond the arc, and still couldn't keep up with the Cavs, who have covered four of their past five. Cleveland is 49-33-1 ATS on the season and it has won the past three meetings by an average of 15.3 points. Miami still is just 39-46 in 2024-25 and 19-24-1 ATS on the road. Lay the points with the Cavaliers.
