This Lakers team sure looks committed after losing to the Celtics in the NBA Finals last year. They realize they want this year's Champion to have to go through LA, so they are playing for the best record and are not taking any nights off. They have already posted 11 double-digit wins on the season. They have made a commitment on the defensive end where they have held 11 opponents to UNDER 100 points, that has happened in just 17 games. While in their final 30 games last year only 11 were held to under 100. A quick look at Washington against teams that execute on the defensive end shows them scoring 76 points against Portland, 82 vs. Houston and 86 points against New Orleans. The Lakers are putting up the century mark on offense with regularity, while the Wizards struggle to stay in games against the good teams, especially those with a defensive commitment. Lakers get there points here and the Wizards struggle. That spells the Lakers getting the cover and this one staying UNDER the total as well.
