Detroit at Miami

The good news for the Pistons is they are an impressive 15-4. The bad news is they have lost consecutive games for the first time this season after winning 13 in a row. Detroit is not going to lack motivation to get back to its winning ways. Miami is coming off a three-day Thanksgiving break, having last played on Wednesday. The Heat defeated the Bucks in their last game, 106-103, extending their winning streak to six. Miami doesn't figure to be as fired up as Detroit, which lost a tough, 112-109, road game to Orlando last night. Cade Cunningham was brilliant in that game with a triple-double: 39 points, 13 boards, and 11 assists. The matchup edge the Pistons have here, though, is rebounding. Detroit ranks third in offensive rebounding and ninth in defensive rebounding. Detroit's Jalen Duren is the NBA's third-leading rebounder, averaging 11.8 per game.
