Detroit at Atlanta

The Detroit Pistons opened the season as a team that appeared to have taken the next step, and put themselves back close to the elite teams in the NBA East. They started 14-6, but seven straight losses have them back at 14-13, and I think there is now line value on Detroit. It is also worth noting that no NBA team has lost more than seven straight games if they have a better than .500 record, all the way back to 1996. The 12 teams that reached seven straight losses went 8-4 ATS in their next game, which tends to quantify the value in this one. Atlanta is in full rebuild mode at 6-21, and are basically among the worst of NBA teams. The Hawks refuse to play defense, allowing 111.9 points per game over their last 10. They're a bad team in a bad spot, so make the play on Detroit.
