Chicago at Detroit

Chicago's rebuilding plan didn't turn out very well so the new front-office management decided to add some veteran players through trades and free agency. The Bulls acquired center Nikola Vucevic in a trade and then signed DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso to at least be competitive. Still, the Bulls are a ways off from being a playoff team. Detroit has high hopes after a good draft that included No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham, who unfortunately has been dealing with an ankle injury in preseason and is doubtful for this game. The Pistons are on the upswing though with several talented young players such as last season's rookies Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey and Saben Lee. Jerami Grant will lead the team after scoring 22.3 points per game in 2020-21. Play the Pistons.
