New York at San Antonio

2025-26 NBA Championship

June 13, 2026

The Knicks are one win from the title, up 3-1 and back in San Antonio for Game 5 tonight. The story of this series hasn't been the drama. It's the scoreboard, at least when these teams play in San Antonio. The two games here finished at 200 and 209 combined points, both well under tonight's posted total. Game 1 was a rock fight: the Spurs shot 36 percent from the floor and 26 percent from three, and New York still needed only 105 to win it. Victor Wembanyama has anchored a half-court series, blocking at least three shots in every game and choking off the paint. Now layer in the situation. San Antonio is facing elimination at home, and closeout games tighten. Possessions slow down, every trip is contested, and the foul-line traffic dries up. Tonight's number is propped up by the two higher-scoring games in New York, where the pace ran loose. That doesn't travel back to Texas. The first-half angle is even cleaner: the two halves played in San Antonio this series went for 103 and 108, both under the first-half number. Back the UNDER on the full game, and side with the UNDER in the first half tonight.

San Antonio at New York

2025-26 NBA Championship

June 10, 2026
img8:30 PM Eastern

Three games into these finals, the story has been resistance. The Knicks lead 2-1, and the scoreboard has stayed fairly tight throughout: San Antonio held to 95, 104, and 115, New York topping out at 111. Two of the three have finished below the posted total, and the exception, Game 3, was the one night both offenses broke loose. That reads like the outlier, not the trend. Both teams arrived as among the stingiest defenses in the league, and the series has played out exactly that way. Victor Wembanyama is altering shots and protecting the rim, and New York's offense has leaned on Jalen Brunson, manufacturing contested twos; he's shooting around 37% from the floor across the three games. The volume is there, the efficiency isn't. The first half has carried the same rhythm. Strip out Game 3's spike, and the opening 24 minutes have settled comfortably below the first-half number, both sides probing before anything opens up. Series scoring sits below both posted lines, and finals basketball this deep tends to tighten rather than loosen, with more deliberate possessions, fewer easy runs, and every trip contested. The market is pricing in a Game 3 carryover that the underlying defense doesn't support. Back the full-game UNDER and the first-half UNDER tonight.

San Antonio at New York

2025-26 NBA Championship

June 8, 2026
img8:30 PM Eastern

Two games into this NBA Finals, and neither team has sniffed an offensive breakout — the combined total was 200 in Game 1, 209 in Game 2, both well under the posted number. The series now shifts to Madison Square Garden, and there's no structural reason to expect that to change. Jalen Brunson shot 28 percent in Game 2, and the Knicks still won, which tells you this offense is grinding, not flowing. Victor Wembanyama is the engine of that suppression — he's altering drives at the rim, forcing contested pull-ups, and turning New York's paint-attack into a half-court slog. San Antonio's offense has been equally limited, hemmed in by New York's switching schemes and perimeter length. Both coaches are keeping this series around 100 possessions per side, which puts a hard ceiling on what either team can produce in a given game. The first-half structure has mirrored the same story — both prior games came in well under the posted 1H total. This defensive rhythm is locked in, and neither team is close to breaking it. Play the 1H UNDER as the sharper entry, and side with the UNDER on the full game tonight. Take the first half and full game UNDER.

New York at San Antonio

2025-26 NBA Championship

Game 1 settled the tone of this series more than the final score reflects. The Spurs led by 14 in the third quarter with both offenses shooting 40-41% from the field, a combined 103 first-half points, and Jalen Brunson hobbling on a knee and ankle — and still lost 105-95 on a Brunson fourth-quarter takeover. The market has priced Game 2 as though the offenses are about to open up. San Antonio's defensive rating is second in the playoffs, and they held Oklahoma City — who was shooting 51% from the field in the first two rounds — to 42.6% for an entire series. The Knicks own the top defensive rating in the postseason at 103.5. These are two defenses built to make every basket expensive, and the first half of Game 1 said everything about where the Game 2 total is headed: 103 combined points, well under the posted number.

Victor Wembanyama shot 6 of 21 with six turnovers and said, "I was bad tonight" when it was over. He's going to be better in Game 2, but that means composed and controlled, not an explosion. The Spurs were the better team for 42 minutes on Wednesday; a late Brunson burst is the outlier, not the defensive identity that dominated the first three quarters. San Antonio doesn't let a 14-point lead vanish at home in the NBA Finals twice. Lay the points with the Spurs as a Max Play, take the first-half UNDER, and take the full-game UNDER.

New York at San Antonio

2025-26 NBA Championship

June 3, 2026
img8:30 PM Eastern

San Antonio closed the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night with a road win on OKC's floor in Game 7 — a resume builder, not a footnote. Victor Wembanyama delivered 22 points and dictated the defensive end, the Spurs generated 19 fast-break points, and their perimeter shooting held up when it counted (17 of 40 from three).

New York swept Cleveland and has had eight days off, which reads as an advantage until you account for who the Knicks were actually beating. The ECF clincher saw New York rack up 33 fast-break points and 32 second-chance points against a Cleveland defense that couldn't protect the paint or limit second looks. San Antonio is not that defense. Wembanyama's rim presence and shot-altering ability erase the easy opportunities New York was living on, Karl-Anthony Towns faces a fundamentally different matchup than anything he saw in the East, and the Spurs are bringing home-court finals energy against a team that hasn't been tested in over a week. The spread reflects a legitimate gap.

The totals tell the same story from a different angle: both halves project UNDER. San Antonio held Oklahoma City well below its scoring averages across the series, and the Knicks' offensive output against Cleveland was propped up by an opponent that did none of the things the Spurs do. First half especially — Game 1 of any Finals series plays measured as defenses establish their identities, and San Antonio's Game 7 first half combined with OKC's came in significantly below the current posted first-half total. Full game, Wembanyama's rim protection and the Spurs' perimeter length should suppress New York's efficiency across 48 minutes.

The market is pricing New York's sweep and their offensive explosion against a soft Cleveland defense; it's underweighting how physically and defensively different this San Antonio team is. Three picks for Game 1: Spurs cover the spread, and both the full-game and first-half posted totals land UNDER.
