The Detroit Pistons won just 14 games a year ago, and their 2-5 start to the season shows they are still going to need time with some talented young players. The Lakers begin the season healthy, and LeBron and Davis may be the best 1-2  tandem in the league, and with both of them heallthy, the Lakers will be better. This line appears to be significantly off. Last year the Pistons lost 68 games, and 59 of those were by 6 or more points. It looks to me at this point the Lakers are a better team than they were a year ago, while the Pistons at this point at least, don't look any better. I will go with the Lakers in this one.

The LA Lakers have not succeeded nearly as much as they thought they would pairing up Anthony Davis with LeBron James. They certainly have a highly winnable game tonight at home vs the woeful Pistons. Detroit is being padded on a nightly basis by the books. They are 8-44 SU on the season, but a closer look shows this team is getting the better of the line. The Pistons have won two of three, and if you look at this team since January 12, they are beating the line consistently as they are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games.
