Charlotte Hornets vs Orlando Magic Point Spread Picks

Charlotte won a thriller 127-126 in overtime on Tuesday when LaMelo Ball, who finished with 30 points and 10 assists, made a layup with 4.7 seconds left for what turned out to be the game-winner. Now the Hornets travel to Orlando, and they have been one of the best road teams in the league the past two months, winning 15 of 18 away from home. Charlotte is 24-17 ATS on the road in 2025-26, and the Magic are 20-22 ATS at home. Orlando has lost eight of 10 against Eastern Conference opponents, and it has lost the past three meetings with Charlotte by an average margin of 20.3 points. Six of the past eight meetings have gone UNDER, and the Hornets currently are on a 9-4 UNDER run. Charlotte is 24-17 UNDER in road games, and Orlando has stayed UNDER in four of its past six games overall, including a 17.5-point UNDER against Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Orlando has had ample time to prepare for this matchup after returning from London, where it split two games against the Grizzlies, the last of which was this past Sunday. This isn't the case for Charlotte. The Hornets lost 94-87 to the Cavaliers at home last night. Charlotte will be playing without rest and for the fourth time in six days. LaMelo Ball missed 14 of 15 shots from the floor in the Hornets' loss to Cleveland, including going 0-for-10 from 3-point range. That has to be concerning to the Hornets. The Magic are the superior team with nine fewer losses than the Hornets. Charlotte is on an 11-5 ATS run, so the best play is to take Orlando on the money line. The Magic average more points and give up fewer points than the Hornets. Orlando is nearly at full strength with its leading scorer, Franz Wagner, back in the lineup. The combination of Wagner and Paolo Banchero should be too much for the tired Hornets. Take the Magic on the moneyline. 

The timing is ripe for Charlotte to upset Orlando. This is Orlando's first game back after a four-game road trip that ended this past Tuesday with a 110-106 win over the Trail Blazers. Even with that victory, the Magic have a losing record during their last nine games. Spread-wise, Orlando is 1-8-1 ATS in its previous 10 games. The Magic remain short-handed with Franz Wagner and Mo Wagner both out, and Jalen Suggs is doubtful. Franz Wagner is the Magic's leading scorer at 22.7 points a game. Charlotte is 3-2 straight-up and 4-1 ATS in its last five games. The Hornets have covered six of their previous eight games. They have scored 126 points or more in four of their last six games.
