Atlanta Hawks vs Orlando Magic Point Spread Picks

Atlanta has won and covered all three meetings this season, and the Hawks currently are on a 14-4 ATS run while winning 16 of 18 outright. Meanwhile, Orlando has lost seven of nine and five in a row against Eastern Conference opponents. The Magic are 3-6 ATS in their past nine versus the Southeast Division, and they have allowed 128 points or more in four of their past seven games, although they do come off a 115-111 win over Phoenix last night. The Magic now have to play on consecutive nights, and the Hawks have won 13 home games in a row. Atlanta is 41-35 ATS, and Orlando is 33-41-1 ATS in 2025-26. The Hawks beat Boston 112-102 on Monday when Jalen Johnson recorded his 45th double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Take the Hawks. 

What a difference not having Trae Young means for Atlanta. The Hawks traded Young, their main player for nearly eight seasons, to the Wizards two months ago. It is no coincidence that Atlanta has run off a nine-game winning streak, the longest current active win streak in the NBA. It is the franchise’s longest victory streak since 2014-15. Jalen Johnson has replaced Young's star power, averaging 23 points, 10.4 rebounds, and eight assists a game this season, and Atlanta's defense has improved greatly without Young. Since the All-Star break, the Hawks lead the NBA in net rating (12.8), defensive rating (104.6), and defensive rebound percentage (76.3%). They have held four opponents to fewer than 100 points during their win streak. Orlando is hot, too, with seven wins in a row. The Hawks, however, are the healthier team at home and are 2-0 against the Magic this season, winning 111-107 at Orlando on Oct. 24 and 127-112 in Atlanta on Nov. 4. The Magic are down several players due to injuries, including Franz Wagner. He is their second-leading scorer, averaging 21.3 points per game. Wagner is out with a high ankle sprain. Take the Hawks.

Kristaps Porziņģis has joined with sparkplug guard Trae Young, while Zaccharie Risacher begins his second season, the 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick. Orlando is working with many new faces. Orlando suffered through many key injuries this season, but the Magic still managed to finish .500 as they are healthier now and they have won five of their past six games. They lost to the Hawks on Sunday, but it was meaningless as far as playoff seeding. Orlando is on an 11-5 ATS run and it has won eight of nine against Eastern Conference opponents, seven of eight versus the Southeast Division. Atlanta has lost 11 of its past 15 April games dating to last season and the Hawks are the team that is battling injuries now, including Trae Young, who is day-to-day with an Achilles issue. The Hawks have won four of five, but three of the wins were against Utah, Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Five of the past seven meetings have gone UNDER and Orlando has stayed UNDER four of its past five home games. The Magic are 47-35-0 UNDER on the season.
