38-year old Robbie Lawler hasn't fought in a year and is past his prime, on a 1-4 run. He's lost his last three fights, including a first-round submission to Ben Askren. His last fight was in August of 2019, losing to Colby Covington while getting outstruck 179 to 78. Age is really catching up on his defense, too, absorbing 4.16 significant strikes per minute. He doesn't match up well with Neil Magny, on a 4-1 UFC run. Magny has terrific balance, averaging 3.95 significant strikes per minute and 2.55 takedowns per every 15 minutes, plus is solid defensively absorbing just 2.17 strikes per minute. He rarely gets knocked out and comes off a pair of unanimous decision victories over Jingliang Li and Anthony Rocco Martin, both this year. He is 16-6 in the UFC, and for this fight is four inches taller, five years younger, with a four-inch reach advantage. Back Neil Magny to win the bout.
