Washington at Los Angeles

I had the OVER on this same Dodgers lineup earlier this week, watching Los Angeles and St. Louis combine for 21 runs in a game that blew right through the total, and tonight sets up similarly. Blake Snell has been outstanding since returning from a long injury layoff, posting a 2.42 ERA in the process, but he's making just his fifth start back and has been capped around five or six innings every time out, which means both bullpens are live candidates to get exposed in the middle innings. Jackson Kent gets the ball for Washington and owns a 5.59 ERA on the season, even after a strong bounce-back turn against Miami his last time out, and he's throwing into a Los Angeles lineup that ranks among the sport's most dangerous. The Nationals aren't overmatched offensively either, a lineup that has crossed the plate 735 times this season, and their bullpen has been stretched thin behind a rotation that rarely goes deep. The sharp money has already found the OVER early, and with two shaky relief corps standing behind two lineups that can both do damage, the total is a soft number tonight. Take the OVER tonight.
