WIN

This is the third straight road contest for Toronto and they have a losing road mark. The Blue Jays have young Drew Hutchison on the mound with a stellar 13-3 record, but this kid has not thrown well overall and has been terrible on the road. For the season he has a 5.07 ERA, and it jumps to an insane 9.00 ERA on the road! Hutchison began September in poor fashion, allowing six runs in five frames of a 10-2 loss to Baltimore on Friday. One of those road starts came at Fenway Park on June 12, when he was blasted for a season-high eight runs in a season-low 2+ innings. Boston has turned things around since changing general managers and going with the kids on offense. The Red Sox are on a 4-1 run, scoring 34 runs. Boston has hard-throwing righty Joe Kelly (9-6) going, who has also turned his season around the last month. Kelly's run of seven straight winning starts matches Josh Beckett (2007) and Curt Schilling (2004) as the longest streak for a Red Sox pitcher since Pedro Martinez won nine in a row in 1999. He kept alive the surge when he allowed two runs in six frames of a 7-5 victory over Philadelphia on Friday. Boston has climbed to third in baseball in runs scored and the Red Sox are 4-0 in Kelly's last four home starts. Take the Red Sox.
