Texas at Seattle

Texas has lost three in a row and five of seven and seems destined to finish fourth in the AL West and the Rangers are 33-42 on the road as they head to Seattle. The Mariners have hit a rough patch and come off a wild 13-12 defeat at Kansas City on Sunday. However, Seattle has Robbie Ray on the mound tonight and he comes off six shutout innings against Oakland although he got no run support and the Mariners lost 2-1. Ray does have a 2.73 ERA and .197 opponent batting average at home and he is 2-0 against Texas this year. Jesus Tinoco will make his first start for the Rangers after appearing in 13 games as a reliever. Seattle has won eight of the past 10 meetings and the Mariners are 16-7 following a day off.
