The Texas Rangers have had a tough time with injuries to their pitching rotation, perhaps more than any other team. They opened the season at 7-15 and appeared destined for a long season. They have certainly turned things around, as they have gone 24-13 in their last 37 games, and stand just two games behind the Houston Astros in the AL West. One reason has been Chi Chi Gonzalez, who has made a pair of starts covering 14.2 innings of work, allowing just five hits and no runs. Scott Kazmir got off to a big start, but in his last eight starts he has failed to record a win, with opponents totaling 5.7 runs per game in the eight starts. The Rangers have been big as a big dog, having gone 6-0 in their last six as a dog from +151 to +200. The A's have taken the donut in Kazmir's last nine starts vs. a winning team at 0-9.
