Texas goes for seven wins in a row today as it has come within 1 1/2 games of a wild-card spot after seemingly being out of contention just a couple weeks ago. Wyatt Langford hit a tiebreaking RBI single off Edwin Diaz with two outs in the ninth to beat the Mets 3-2 on Saturday. New York is going in a different direction losing its eighth straight while averaging just 2.5 runs in that span. Jacob Latz comes off five shutout innings on three hits for Texas and he has only allowed seven runs his past 26 1/3 innings as a spot starter. Nolan McLean gave up a run on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings against Philadelphia on Monday, but got no run support from the punchless Mets and lost 1-0. Take the Rangers.
