Texas at Las Vegas

At 9-9, Texas is not off to the start it had hoped for. The Athletics are 10-8, but there is a red flag. As a team over .500, the Athletics should have a positive run differential. That is not the case as they enter play with a -7 run differential. Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers and their .500 record should be even in run differential, but they are +9, which paints a different picture. Texas will start Jack Leiter. Even though his stats seem average, he has given up three long balls, and, in the early going, that is likely not to continue. Jacob Lopez hasn't been any better and has also allowed three home runs. I've got to trust the overall numbers and make the play on Texas.
