Texas at Houston

Texas had won three straight before losing 10-1 to Kansas City on Wednesday and the Rangers are tied for first place in the AL West and send Martin Perez to the mound against the Astros. Perez has had two good outings allowing only three earned runs in 10 2/3 innings and he was 12-8 with a 2.89 ERA in 2022 and gave up 14 runs in 33 innings against Houston. Perez is 9-8 with a 3.23 in 19 starts in his career versus Houston. The Texas bullpen has a 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP so far this year. The Astros have lost both of Luis Garcia's starts and he has allowed seven runs on 13 hits in nine innings. The Astros are only 6-7 and could be suffering from a World Series hangover and Texas is getting a good price in this matchup.  Take the Rangers as a Max Play.
