Texas has a new hitting coach in Bret Boone and the Rangers hope it will spark a lackluster offense that has contributed to a sub-.500 record this season. However, the Rangers did bang out 12 hits in an 8-1 win over Seattle on Sunday that snapped a four-game skid. Texas has won Nathan Eovaldi's past four starts as a road favorite of -110 to -150. He has allowed only eight earned runs his past five outings. Boston has lost four of five overall and five of six against AL West opponents. Lucas Giolito will make his second start of the seaosn after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings in a 7-6 loss to Toronto on Wednesday.
