Tampa Bay at Toronto

Tampa Bay has already taken the series opener in Toronto and carries a lopsided 6-1 edge over the Blue Jays this season, the kind of season-series dominance that doesn't happen by accident against a division rival. Drew Rasmussen's last time out was ugly, six earned runs in a shortened outing against the Yankees, but that start came right before the All-Star break, and his season-long numbers away from home tell a different story: a 3.02 ERA on the road across nine starts, noticeably better than his production at home. Junior Caminero has been the engine of this offense all year, and he's done most of his damage against right-handed pitching, which is exactly what he faces tonight in Kevin Gausman. Gausman is a respected veteran, but a 4-8 record and an ERA pushing 4.30 fit a Toronto team that has settled into last place in the AL East. Gausman did limit San Diego to three earned runs over six innings last time out, so this isn't a total mismatch on the mound. But Tampa Bay has the deeper roster and the better recent history in this series. Take the Rays on the moneyline tonight.
