A huge game for both these teams, even more so for Tampa Bay as they are four behind the Yankees for first place. New York won yesterday, but the Yankees haven't been able to get any momentum going as they are at a miserable 1-11 in their last 12 games following a win. The Rays are 10-3 in their last 13 games as a road underdog and 22-7 in their last 29 Sunday get-away day games. This Tampa Bay offense will hit in Yankee stadium, a great hitter's park, and it helps to have a strikeout pitcher on the mound. The Rays do in young Matt Moore (10-10, 3.68 ERA), fanning 165 in 166 innings. He is 2-1 in his career against the Bronx Bombers with a 3.44 ERA, striking out out 23 in 18 innings and walking only five. The Rays are 10-4 in their last 14 games as an underdog, including 9-3 in their last 12 games as an underdog of +110 to +150. The Yankees are 5-11 in their last 16 vs. a team with a winning record and go with 37-year-old Hiroki Kuroda, who has looked out of gas with a 4.79 ERA his last three starts. Kuroda has gone 1-1 with a 6.17 ERA against Tampa Bay this season and the Yankees are 2-5 in Kuroda's last seven starts as a favorite. Play the Rays!
