Tampa Bay at New York

Johan Santana got hit harder than he ever has in his life allowing nine earned runs, and an early departure against the Yankees. That certainly has held down the price in this one. Against a road struggling Tampa team that has not fared well in Shield's road starts this one is too good to pass up as you may never see this price again with Santana at home. The Mets are 19-11 at home vs. Tampa and their 14-22 road mark adds to the value with anyone on the hill. The Rays have had dead bats against lefthanders at 10-22 in their last 32 games, and Shield has led them to just a 6-21 mark in his last 27 starts as a dog. The Mets are 19-7 in Santana's last 26 starts as chalk. The Rays are just 70-149 in their last 219 on the road against a winning team and they will have to try to stay with the best in the game here, with a pitcher that has a home pedigree, but has failed in 21 of 27 road contests of this nature. I’ll take the Mets on the runline here.
