Time is running out on the Washington Nationals at 69-69 for the season. This is a team projected by most to be a World Champion candidate, but they have vastly under performed. The Nationals trail the Atlanta Braves by 7.5 games, a deficit that is overwhelming to conquer after Labor Day. The Cardinals are in the thick of the NL Wild Card race, and each game has a lot of meaning right now, so you know this team will be focused on a daily basis. Washington was on life support 10 days ago or so but at 5-6 in their last 11, they have not been able to answer the call all season.
