LOSS

The St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates were rained out last night, so they will play a twin-bill today and tonight. The Cardinals are poised to clinch their third consecutive NL Central Title with a win in either game. St. Louis struck first in this series with a 3-0 shutout win on Monday, and are poised to claim game one behind Michael Wacha. Wacha has truly been a thorn in the side of Pittsburgh hitters as he owns a 3-0 lifetime record against them, working 32.2 innings allowing just a stingy seven earned runs, for an ERA of a sterling 1.93. The Cardinals have won seven of their last nine down the stretch, and own a 13-3 mark in Wacha's last 16 starts inside the division. Cole has done a good job opening and closing series, but in the middle, game 2, the Pirates are just 2-6 in his last eight starts. Take St. Louis in game one.
