St. Louis at Pittsburgh

The St. Louis Cardinals were sitting at 17-11 a couple of weeks ago, but a recent slide of 4-7 has them heading down toward .500. The Pirates have split their last 6 games but they will have a hot pitcher on the mound for this one in Jose Quintana. Quintana's last 2 starts have seen opponents score just a single run. He also has a career 5-3 mark when starting vs St. Louis. Matthew Liberatore will make his debut for the Cardinals and his scouting report shows a plus curveball but a very mediocre fastball, and he doesn't project very high at the major league level. I think the Pirates have a very favorable mound edge here, and I will back Pittsburgh on the run line.
