St. Louis at Pittsburgh

It certainly has not been the start the Pittsburgh Pirates were hoping for. They are 14-20 through 34 games, and look to get things going at home vs. the Cardinals tonight. The Pirates look recovered from an ugly 4-15 stretch, as they have rallied back to wn four of their last six, and can make up some ground with a strong series at home vs. St. Louis. They will have a good shot behind Francisco Liriano who has dominated St. Louis, posting a 4-1 career mark with a nifty 1.85 ERA. Liriano has also ruled the hill at PNC Park where he has led the Pirates to an 8-2 mark with a 2.24 ERA here since opening day last season. The Cards continue to leak oil when following a win where they are now 1-8 in their last nine. Take Pittsburgh.
