The St. Louis Cardinals don't seem to be the team they have been in recent years, but they did get their road trip off to a great start by sweeping Atlanta. That may not set up as well, opening a series in Miami, as one would think. History shows us that a team off a three-game sweep on the road, and opening a series on the road against another team, have a -9.6% ROI over the last decade when posted as a road favorite. Those numbers get even worse if they are facing a losing team with the ROI dropping to -13.1%. St. Louis is also a woeful 87-120 in road games after winning at least three straight, dating all the way back to 1997.
