St. Louis at Kansas City

The battle of Missouri may not have the same flare as it has in the recent past. The Kansas City Royals have been awful all season, entering off last night's loss at 35-80 on the season, and well on their way to 100 losses. It won't get any easier going up against rookie right-hander Jack Flaherty, who has a 3.29 ERA on the season and has struck out more hitters than any NL starter since the All-Star break. St. Louis is playing very well at 7-2 over their last nine, while the Royals continue to leak oil at 1-7 in their last eight. KC has also been shutout twice in their last three contests. The Cardinals have fared well in KC, where they are 28-11 in their last 29, and have won four straight here. Play on St. Louis.
