St. Louis just lost three of four at Atlanta while scoring a total of only one run in the three losses. Detroit's pitching is much-improved this season, and all the Tigers need is better hitters to become a contender. Detroit did salvage the final game of a four-game series against the Angels, and they have won four of their past seven games overall. The Tigers have won three of Tarik Skubal's last four starts after a 6-3 victory over Kansas City on Wednesday when he allowed three runs on six hits in six innings. Johan Oviedo has been getting destroyed on the road, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) on 12 hits in 10 2/3 innings, and he has a 7.04 ERA in night games this season. The Cardinals have lost 12 of their past 17 games overall and seven of eight on the road. Take the Tigers.
