The St. Louis Cardinals were the NL Champions a year ago, and they seek to repeat this season. Cincinnati took a step back a year ago after winning 97 games in 2012. Adam Wainwright remains arguably the top pitcher in the NL. He started slow after surgery, but ended up a 19 game winner, the top mark in the NL for the second time in his career. Johny Cueto won just five games a year ago suffering through an oblique injury, and has not fared well in his career vs the Cardinals. Cueto is just 4-4 in 15 career starts where he carries the baggage of a 4.66 ERA against them. Wainwright has been a proven winner home or away, and the Cards have handled Cueto quite well. Make the play on St. Louis.
