St. Louis lost its third straight game and the Cardinals now have scored only 10 runs their last five games. The White Sox won 8-3 and Jose Abreu homered and drove in four runs for Chicago, which is looking to sweep the three-game series today. Carlos Rodon pitched six scoreless innings on two hits his last outing against the Yankees although the White Sox ended up losing 2-1. Rodon is 5-1 with a sparkling 1.27 ERA and a microscopic .148 opponent batting average on the season. The left-hander has given up just five runs on 10 hits in 20 2/3 innings at home. The Cardinals have lost five of their past six interleague road games and Chicago has won eight of 10 interleague games as a favorite. Also, Chicago has won 32 of its past 44 home games.
