Jordan Walker's carrying a seven-game hit streak into this one, batting .333 with three homers over his last ten games, and that bat is exactly why St. Louis has been able to win comfortably even on nights the rotation gets stretched thin early. Dustin May has been wildly inconsistent since his one-hit shutout of San Diego last month, but Sunday's start against Atlanta showed real signs of stabilizing: four clean innings, two runs allowed, and a St. Louis bullpen that has now backed him up for eight scoreless frames in back-to-back outings when he's needed the help most. Brandon Pfaadt has turned his season around lately, but a 4.70 ERA still reflects the version of him that spent time in the bullpen and got hit hard across his first three starts. St. Louis is 11-7 against the spread in May's starts this year, and sharp money is already sliding onto this side of the runline early this afternoon. With Walker heating up and this offense carrying the load, the Cardinals winning outright isn't the question. St. Louis wins on the runline this afternoon.
