Seattle's road record this year won't win it any style points, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But this one comes down to who's on the mound, and that's not close today. Logan Gilbert just worked six shutout innings against the Yankees his last time out and has given up more than three runs once in his last three starts. Max Scherzer draws the ball for Toronto carrying a 7.02 ERA, and while he can still turn in a clean start on the right night, the last three have been all over the place, including one where Tampa Bay hung seven on him in four innings. Neither of these lineups is doing much offensively this season, which pushes this game further into the hands of whoever's pitching, and that's Seattle's edge. Gilbert has been one of the more consistent arms in the league the last month, and I'd rather lay a short price behind him than count on Scherzer stringing together a clean outing to keep Toronto in this one. Take Seattle on the moneyline this afternoon.
