The Rangers have had to rely on their pitching to win games. last night was the first time the Rangers generated more than 4 runs in their last eight games. The loss last night saddled the Mariners with their 11th loss of the season, tying them for the most in the league. Brandon Maurer got off to a very rocky start, but recorded a win last Sunday with a gem vs. this same Texas Rangers team, and same opposing pitcher. He should take the mound with confidence tonight. The Rangers don't seem to play with much energy vs. bad teams, and it has left them at 2-5 in their last seven vs. a team with a winning percentage below .400. Take Seattle in this one.
