Bryan Woo, plus a deeper and more reliable Seattle bullpen, make the Mariners the choice here. Woo emerged as a star last season with a 15-7 record, 2.94 ERA, and 0.93 WHIP. He has been even better to begin this season with a 1.38 ERA, a 0.54 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts in two starts spanning 13 innings. Seattle may have the top closer in the American League with Andres Munoz. He has two very good setup men in front of him, Matt Brash and Jose Ferrer. Texas ranks 20th in scoring at 3.7 runs per game. Rangers starter lefty MacKenzie Gore has an impressive 16 strikeouts in 11.1 innings, but also has a 3.97 ERA and already has allowed two home runs. Gore started strong last season for the Nationals, but had a 6.75 ERA in 49.1 innings following the All-Star break. Seattle is 29-22 vs. lefty starters the past two seasons. The Rangers' bullpen is still trying to find its closer. Take the Mariners.
