Justin Verlander will make his second start for San Francisco, and he allowed two runs on six hits in five innings on Saturday. Seattle hitters are batting just .174 against him in 132 at-bats, including three homers. Verlander is 22-10 with a 2.98 ERA in his career against the Mariners, who have lost four of six, and they have failed to score more than three runs in five of them.
