Seattle at San Diego

Seattle has won five of six after defeating Oakland 2-1 on Sunday and the Mariners have been getting good pitching while allowing only five runs their last three games. Julio Rodriguez homered on the first pitch of the game and the Athletics were held to four hits yesterday. San Diego finally pulled out a win against the Dodgers, but the Padres are a worn-out team after losing the first three games of that series and six of their past eight overall. The Padres scored a total of only eight runs in the four games. Chris Flexen has pitched better than his 4-8 record indicates as he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his last five starts and Seattle has won his last two. The Mariners have won six of their last seven road games and San Diego has lost five straight versus right-handed starters. Take the Mariners.
